Hello Franklin County

I hope you enjoyed the presentation. Here is a link to the presentation from today. Also, there was a story a few weeks ago on 60 minutes that featured 'apps for autism'. That link is here.

Another List of Apps!

This is the list of Apps that the OT's (and PT's) who were at the Ohio OT-PT School-Based Institute said they liked or were using in practice. If there are any more apps you like that are out there, please post them and I will add them to the list.

Another list of Apps!

This list is from Tools for Life out of Georgia and has a searchable database: http://www.gatfl.org/appreview/Default.aspx

It would be great if all these lists would be in one wiki somewhere. Is there a graduate students out there looking for something to do in their free time!?

iTechnology in Transtions

I hope you learned something from today's presentation. Here is a link the the Powerpoint and the list of Applications that my students reviewed this summer. They did a very nice job of reviewing Apps. Some (especially the fine motor ones) might be a little 'young' for many Project Search interns.

The danger of presenting on iPads is that as soon as this is committed to paper, it becomes obsolete. On the flight here to Minneapolis one of our professional journals described the use of a few Apps in Transition that I will share with you in future posts.

If you have questions, please email me.

ePortfolio Presentation -- Project Search in Minneapolis

I hope you learned a few things during this presentation on ePortfolios. ePortfolios can be a very useful tool in working with young adults as they transition from high school to post-secondary education and employment.

Blogger does not allow you to post documents, so I am going to post a link to a taskstream account that will allow you to view documents that were used in the presentation. Here is the link to the taskstream account.

I'm hoping that we can continue the conversation on these pages in the days to come.

Minneapolis Bound

This blog was created to be used with two presentations -- The International Project Search Conference in Minneapolis in July and for the Ohio Institute for OTPT School-Based Practice in August. I just bought my Minneapolis ticket -- the Ohio presentation I will be driving to.
